If you’re expressing a larger volume of milk and need to change the Pump Container mid-session, follow these steps carefully to avoid spillage and maintain hygiene:
Pause the Breast Pump Device - First, pause the Breast Pump Device by pressing on the ‘Power’ button on the Breast Pump Device or Hegen App. Carefully remove the pump from your breast.
Remove the Breast Cushion and Insert - Remove the Breast Cushion together with the Insert (if any).
Detach the Breast Pump Device – Gently pull to detach the Breast Pump Device from the Pump Boday and set it aside on a clean surface.
Remove the Pump Container – Twist-to-Open™ the Pump Body from the Pump Container.
Attach an empty container – Secure a clean, empty Pump Container and Press-to-Close™ onto the Pump Body.
Reattach the Pump Device – Push in to attach the Pump Device with the assembled Pump Body and Pump Container.
Insert the Breast Cushion and Cushion Insert – Insert Breast Cushion and Insert (If any). Align base of Breast Pump Device with base of breast then latch on the pump to align with nipple. Secure the nursing bra and press ‘Power’ button to resume pumping.
Always ensure your hands are clean before handling any parts and avoid touching the inside of the Pump Container or Pump Body to maintain optimal hygiene.
