How do I disassemble, wash and sterilise the Wearable Breast Pump?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

To ensure proper hygiene and optimal performance, it's important to disassemble and clean your Hegen Wearable Breast Pump correctly after each use. Here’s how:

Switch Off
Ensure that the Breast Pump Device is powered off before disassembling and washing.

Remove Flange Components
Gently take out the Flange Insert (if any), then the Flange.

Separate Breast Pump Device & Breast Milk Storage Container
Pull to detach the Breast Milk Storage Container from the Breast Pump Device

Take note that the Breast Pump Device is not washable. Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

Remove Pump Body from the Breast Milk Storage Container
Twist-to-Open™ Pump Body.

Remove Diaphragm
Lift the Diaphragm out of the Pump Body.

Remove Valve & Seal
Gently remove the Valve.
Disassemble the Seal by pulling the tab and carefully lifting the Seal away from sides of the Pump Body

Cleaning
All parts of the Wearable (except the Breast Pump Device) can be washed using undiluted baby bottle detergent with a bottle brush after disassembly.

Sterilisation
All parts of the Wearable (except the Breast Pump Device) are also safe to sterilise by boiling, steaming, using a UV steriliser, or sterilisation tablets.

Kindly avoid washing or immersing the Breast Pump Device in water, and do not place it in the fridge. If Breast Pump Device gets in contact with milk, simply wipe it gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth.

Ensure all parts are fully dry before reassembling for your next session. This helps maintain hygiene and keeps your pump in optimal condition.
