How often should I replace my pump parts?

Updated over a month ago

Regular replacement of breast pump parts is important to maintain optimal performance and effective suction.

With frequent use, cleaning, and sterilisation, pump components may gradually wear out or stretch over time, which can result in reduced suction performance during pumping.

To ensure optimal performance and hygiene, we recommend replacing the different components of your Hegen PCTO™ Double Electric Breast Pump (SoftSqround™) at the following intervals:

Silicone parts (e.g., e-Diaphragm, Valve, Grey Replacement Seal): every 3 months, or sooner if you notice any signs of wear and tear.

Polypropylene (PP) components (e.g., Pump Body) every 6 months, or sooner if wear and tear occurs.

PPSU components (e.g., Storage Container): every 6 months, or earlier if you observe deep scratches, cracking, or any signs of wear and tear.

We recommend inspecting each part regularly for any damage, changes in texture, or reduced performance. If any component appears compromised, replace it immediately to ensure both safety and efficiency during pumping.
