After expressing, you can store breastmilk directly in the Hegen container by replacing the Pump Body with a Hegen Storage Lid. This keeps the milk safe and hygienic, without the need to transfer it to another container.
Storage guidelines:
Room temperature (25°C) – up to 4 hours
Refrigerator (4°C) – up to 2 days
Freezer (-18°C) – up to 3 months
Deep freezer (-20°C) – up to 6 months
We recommend labelling each container with the date and time of expression and practicing first-in-first-out for feeding.
Warming breastmilk:
Warm the milk by placing the container in a portable warmer or water bath, then gently swirl to mix the foremilk and hindmilk. Do not use a microwave, as it can create uneven heat and damage nutrients.
